Te Waipounamu Maori Heritage Centre is the home of Ngati Waewae business activities.

All of our TOURS & EXPERIENCES start from the Centre.

At the Centre you can view New Zealands largest range of pounamu carvings and see the carvers in action as they carve the stone and you will learn about the traditional shapes and figures.

Secure your unique traditional or contemporary pounamu carving which are all carved locally from genuine New Zealand Pounamu (greenstone) .  Alternatley you can purchase online (coming soon) or even carve your own piece of Pounamu on our POUNAMU EXPERIENCE TOUR.
